Mafia II, the gangster based nostalgia fueled adventure from 2K Czech and Take Two, has managed to spend one more week at the top of the United Kingdom video game chart as no big titles hit the market.

Mafia II was attacked by some reviewers for the rather linear story that tends to take it out of the open world category and analyst Michael Pachter announced that the game would be a disappointment for its publisher in the long run.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, with its extraordinary levels of violence and its shaky camera style, managed to hold on to second spot but will likely face quite a challenge next week from a resurgent Wii Sports Resort from Nintendo, a collection of mini games that managed to climb from five to three in just one week.

Toy Story 3, a movie based video game experience from Disney Interactive Studios, slipped to fourth spot down from third, apparently managing to have a life of its own outside of the movie franchise.

Red Dead Redemption, the Western based open world title from Rockstar, has gone down from fourth spot to fifth and seems to be finally loosing Steam, after a pretty good run that started way back in May.

Just Dance, the casual dancing title from Ubisoft, managed to hold on to number six while Super Mario Galaxy 2 from Nintendo is in seventh again.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior from City Interactive climbed up one spot to reach eight and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is also on an upward trend coming from ten to nine.

A new release, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 from Ubisoft managed to only debut at number ten and will probably prove a disappointment for the publisher.

Another big release Metroid: Other M, from Nintendo and Team Ninja for the Wii home console, only managed to launch in twelfth spot in the United Kingdom.
