The developers at EA Sports announce that they are launching a new NFL Honors award in order to celebrate the season that has just ended and to give gamers a chance to pick up a few new items for their Ultimate Team line-up.

A two-a-day launch pace is being introduced and gamers who are fans of the sport need to check in every day in order to get access to new content.

EA Sports is starting the rundown of the NFL Honors with an award for Offensive Rookie of the Year, offered to Odell Backham Jr. from the New York Giants.

The studio states, “Beckham Jr. led all rookies in receptions (91), receiving yards (1,305) and receiving touchdowns (12) despite missing the first four games of the season. His catch against the Dallas Cowboys was hailed as one of the Plays of the Year.”

Aaron Donald of the St. Louis Rams is the Defensive Rookie of the Year in Madden NFL 15, and the choice was made because of his dominant performance in the line and the fact that he led all other rookies and managed to deliver nine sacks, three forced fumbles, and 47 tackles.

The developers have not said if they plan to deliver a bigger NFL Honors pack for Ultimate Team in Madden NFL 15 once all the awards are given out.

The EA Sports sim has managed to predict the result of Super Bowl XLIX with uncanny accuracy

Super Bowl XLIX was one of the most interesting end-of-the-season games in recent history and the developers have managed to use the core engine of Madden NFL 15 and customized data for teams and players to accurately predict that the New England Patriots will manage to win against the Seattle Seahawks 28 to 24.

EA Sports even managed to match the general flow of the game, and since it took place on Sunday, plenty of conspiracy theories appeared linking the simulation to the way the real world action played out.

Madden NFL 15 and its Ultimate Team mode will continue to get access to new content in the coming weeks, but with the season now over the popularity of the title will likely slightly decline.
