Madden NFL 10 is set to be one of the biggest videogame releases of the year and the publisher needs to make sure that all interested players have a chance to see what the game is all about before committing their money to a purchase.

This can only be done through a demo of the game, and EA Sports has announced that it would be releasing one, although it has not indicated a clear date. But this will not be the only demo that fans of the Madden series will be getting when it is released on August 14.

The EA Sports made demo version of the NFL title will be featuring a game between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys, with each quarter taking 2 minutes of real time, leading to a total game time of 8 minutes.

Players will be able to see all the new features of Madden NFL 10 in the demo, from the new graphics engine to the new way the Artificial Intelligence handles itself on the ground. The demo is set to come via the Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network and will probably set records for the most downloaded content on each delivery platform.

Those who pre-ordered Madden NFL 10 from GameStop are in for a treat, as the retail chain has announced that it plans to also issue a demo of the American football game that it describes as being “exclusive.” This means that it will be featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals in a re-run of the Super Bowl XLIII.

The GameStop demo is also set to offer 5-minute quarters, which means that players will have more time to see how Madden NFL 10 has changed. Not that they need the time, given the fact that they have already ordered the game. The exclusive demo will be delivered via a unique code that must be entered before download.
