At last year’s MTV ceremony, when they won Best Kiss, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart awkwardly teased fans with a real-life kiss but they never got through with it. This year, Robert did even better than kissing Kristen.

As we also noted earlier today, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” was officially the big winner at the MTV Movie Awards 2011, scooping up 5 awards, including for Best Movie and Best Kiss.

Robert and Kristen, who play Edward and Bella in the film, took to the stage to accept the award handed to them by “The Green Lantern” pair Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, as the video below will show.

As expected, the moment they were handed the award, they started joking about whether this was the year they should finally do it, with Robert stressing that he wasn’t really in the mood to kiss Kristen.

She, on the other hand – and much to her credit –, seemed somewhat disappointed about it, albeit she did say that too much time had passed since they last did it – presumably in front of the camera, because they’re a couple in real life as well, so one may assume some kissing is involved.

At one point, the British heartthrob said that, because he didn’t want to kiss Kristen, he had a better idea: he knew someone in the audience who better deserved to be kissed and who would, accordingly, would duly appreciate it.

With Kristen’s words of encouragement “Go get ‘em, honey!,” Rob ran off the stage and right into the audience, straight to co-star Taylor Lautner’s chair.

To the cheers and applauses of the crowd, grabbed Taylor (Tay-Tay, as the MTV Movie Awards presenters dubbed him), leaned in and planted a wet one on his lips – which may have or may have not been fake.

Afterwards, though, as he got up to leave, Robert made no secret of his affection for Lautner, as kissed him brotherly on the forehead and then, once more on the hand, for the road.

Check out the video of the kiss below. For the complete list of winners, see here.
