Even though sales of netbooks aren't as high as originally anticipated, the market share of these products is still growing, which is why companies are still eagerly bringing out new models. Lenovo, for instance, has recently unveiled the upcoming IdeaPad S10-3s. Now, MSI is raising the stakes with a trio of laptops, two of which are Pine Trail-based netbooks (L1300 and L1350), while the third is an AMD Athlon-powered, 12-inch notebook.

The 12-inch mobile PC, as the largest and strongest of the lot, is known as the Wind L2300 and is powered by an AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 central processing unit, which has a clock frequency of 1.6GHz. This chip is backed up by 2GB of memory, a hard disk drive with 250GB of storage and the Radeon HD 3200 Integrated graphics.

In addition, the device is built with a 12.1-inch screen, with a maximum resolution of 1,366 x 768, as well as a 1.3-megapixel webcam, Gigabity Ethernet, a 4-in-1 card reader, 802.11b/g/draft n WiFi and a six-cell battery.

The L1300 and L1350 are largely similar to each other, as far as specifications go. They both operate on the Intel Atom N450 CPU, with a clock of 1.66GHz, and feature a 1,024 x 600 10-inch LCD, the GMA 3150 integrated graphics, 1GB of memory and a hard disk drive of 160GB or 250GB. There is also 10/100 Ethernet, a 1.3-megapixel webcam and a 4-in-1 card reader. The differing feature between the two is their operating system: the L1300 comes with Windows XP, whereas the L1350 boasts Windows 7 Starter.

End-users may have noticed somewhat of a resemblance between these three netbooks and the U130, U135 and U230, which were launched some time ago. The L1300, L1350 and L2300 have prices of $329.99, $349.99 and $479.99, respectively, and may be found listed on the company's official website.
