Like most other PC and consumer electronics suppliers, MSI had more than one tablet on show at the 2011 CES, one of which seems to have almost arrived in European stores, or at least in one country.

If anything, Micro-Star International was very active, as far as launching new products went, both throughout CES as well as after it was over.

Among the products it delivered, or plans to release, are a Twin Frozr II GTX 560 video card, a Z68 motherboard, AMD Bulldozer platforms and, of course, Windows 7 and Android tablets.

Speaking of tablets, MSI seems to be nearing the moment when one of its models, the WindPad 100W 10-inch slate, will start shipping.

Apparently, online stores in Europe, or at least those from Germany, will begin selling such products starting around the end of the ongoing month (January 2011).

For users interested in the hardware, the slate is not one of the many Android-running, ARM-powered ones.

Instead, it makes use of the Intel Atom Z530 mobile processor, whose clock speed is of 1.6 GHz, and the Windows 7 OS

In this instance, said CPU is backed up by 2 GB of RAM and complemented by various other components meant to justify its price tag.

A solid state drive (SSD) provides the slate not just with the fairly large storage space of 32 GB, but also the high transfer rates that such units are known for.

Additionally, the 10-inch display had a native resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels, while a mini HDMI output lets one stream multimedia to auxiliary monitors or TVs.

Other specifications include Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, two webcams (front and rear), USB connectivity and a G-sensor.

Once it gets listed, the product will have a tag of roughly 599 Euro and will run, besides the aforementioned OS, MSI's Wind Touch Pack software. The warranty will be of two years.
