In the short time since it’s been out, Amazon’s Kindle Fire proved to be extremely popular among the Android hacking community, so it doesn’t come as a huge surprise to anyone to find out that MIUI 4 was ported to the 7-inch tablet.

If you were a fan of the previous iteration of MIUI, based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, then this new version, built around Android 4.0, will definitely capture your interest.

And why wouldn’t it? After all this new ROM comes with a new UI that doesn’t require any hardware buttons, quick settings panel, and an improved recent apps menu.

Besides that, some MIUI-specific features are also included, such as a custom home screen, refined system panel with new themes, as well as a bunch of custom apps.

Check out the video above to see the MIUI 4 in action on the Kindle Fire, or go to RootzWiki if you want to download the ROM or take a look at the install instructions.
