Amazon offers the same 1-year warranty as for the non-refurb model

The Kindle Fire is already one of the cheapest Android tablets that one can buy, but those looking for an even better deal can now get Amazon’s slate for $20 less by buying a refurbished unit.

While this definitely isn’t that much of a discount, the good news is that Amazon still offers the usual 1-year warranty on refurbished Kindles, so there isn’t that much risk associated with buying such a model.

The Amazon Kindle Fire is a 7-inch Android tablet which features a 1024x600 pixel display, a 1GHz TI OMAP 4 dual-core processor, and 8GB of storage.

Amazon has actually designed the Fire for multimedia consumption, so it arrives with a wide series of apps granting access to digital books, music, and movies.

In the few months since its introduction, the tablet has also proven be quite popular with hackers who, as Liliputing reports, have already managed to get Android 4.0 ICS running on it.
