While modern mobile phones would display the time, most of them do so courtesy of electrical circuitry packed inside them. But not the LeDIX clamshell device from Celsius X VI II, which offer this feature courtesy of its integrated tourbillion watch, completely visible when the device is closed.

In all fairness, this is not a mobile phone meant for everyday use in the manner in which smartphones or some of the latest features phones were designed.

However, the device would offer phone capabilities too, with support for GSM-GPRS-EDGE, with a 2.2-inch screen of QVGA resolution, 3.2MP camera, Bluetooth, or support for Java applications.

Moreover, the handset comes with a 2GB of internal memory, and with support for microSD cards, a Li-Ion 770mAh battery that can offer up to 3.5 hours of talk time or up to 240 hours of standby time, and a multilingual interface.

These might not be the top of the line features that a mobile phone would include today, but the real value of LeDIX from Celsius X VI II comes with the aforementioned watch, and the mechanical parts that power it.

“As streamlined as a sports car, this aerodynamic creation is made from polished and brushed grade 5 titanium discreetly enhanced by inserts. It is the ultimate expression of contemporary elegance,” the company notes.

The handset packs inside a number of around 600 mechanical parts, including 330 in the watch movement alone, the company announced, adding that the phone's structure is made entirely from a block of grade 5 titanium.

The features list of this device also includes high-end watchmaking finishes, Celsius X VI II notes, listing here: polishing, satin-brushing, Clous de Paris hobnail pattern, shotblasting.

“The exclusive mechanical movement, developed under the technical supervision of Celsius X VI II, has what it takes to appeal to the most demanding watchmaking connoisseurs: a flying tourbillion equipped with exclusive shock-absorbers and more offset than any existing model; a modern design focusing on transparency; as well as fine watch finishing and decoration,” the company notes on its website.

According to a recent article on uncrate, the price tag for this mobile phone was set at $300,000. Those interested in learning more on it should head over to Celsius X VI II's website here.
