On the heels of Sinead’s passionate open letters to Miley and Miley’s totally dispassionate (and rude, says Sinead) response on Twitter, producer Robin Skouteris came up with the idea of making these two reach common ground through music.
He mashed and remixed the song that started the feud, Miley’s “Wrecking Ball” with the song with video that inspired her, Sinead’s “Nothing Compares 2 U.”
The result is simply beautiful, with some music lovers even saying online that the mashup is better than Miley’s original song.
I’m too partial to Sinead to be able to tell if that’s accurate or not, so you’ll just have to listen and make up your mind about it on your own. But do drop me a line to let me know what you think.
