As fans must know, Lindsay Lohan’s so-called obsession with Marilyn Monroe goes back in time, the actress herself admitting to looking up to the screen siren both for her work and for the way she built her temptress image in the media. Moreover, Lohan has also posed for a couple of Monroe-inspired photospreads, the most famous one being perhaps that featured in New York magazine, where there wasn’t anything else than some well-placed veils to cover her modesty.
Now, Lindsay is looking to take her adoration for Marilyn one step further by playing the part she also played in “Some Like It Hot.” A remake of the classic film is reportedly in the works, and Lohan is doing her best to land the leading role, sources close to the actress tell the media. “Sources close to Lohan claims [sic.] she sees real parallels between her life and that of the Monroe and is pitching a remake to Hollywood bosses. According to OK! magazine, director Brett Ratner has already rejected the idea, but Lohan isn’t giving up.” Daily Dish writes.
Brett Ratner turning down the idea is not the only obstacle in Lindsay’s path either, insiders reveal, as she also has to deal with her dwindling credibility in the industry and the fact that she no longer has the money necessary to finance the project herself, granted no sponsor is interested in it. However, should strong will and dedication be any indication for success, Lindsay will most likely get to see her dream come true, the same spies believe, because she’s nowhere near to giving up on it.
