Indian tablet-laptop hybrid lovers are getting more options in this department, as of this week. Toshiba has also introduced two new models. Now, Lenovo is catching up by introducing the Flex 2 and Yoga 2 in the country.

The Yoga 2 laptop was announced back at CES 2014, while the Lenovo Flex 2 is a more recent addition to the company’s portfolio, gracing us with its presence since April.

As NDTV reports, the Yoga 2 is a machine that boasts 13.3-inch full HD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and which adds 10-point multi-touch technology.

The Yoga 13 hybrid continues to carry on the tradition by bundling a screen that can be rotated with 360 degrees and then folded on the back of the keyboard, so it can be used like a tablet.

In the processor department, there’s an Intel Core i7 processor combined with 8GB of RAM and backed up by 256GB of internal storage. The laptop runs Windows 8.1 out of the box and also has an HD webcam, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, microHDMI and card reader, to top the spec list.

The 2-in-1 laptop is said to be able to provide up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge.

The Lenovo Flex 2, on the other hand, is a little larger coming with a 14-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution).

The characteristic of the Flex models is that they feature 300° hinges that allow users to switch between the traditional way of using the laptop or “laptop mode” and “stand mode,” where the display has been turned to face away from the keyboard, a way that has proved to be more advantageous to use for watching movies or presentations.

Unlike the Yoga, Lenovo is offering a choice in the power-house department, so customers can opt for either Intel Core i7 chips with NVIDIA GPU or AMD A8 APU with Radeon R5 M230 GPU.

Storage goes as far as 1TB (HDD), but there's the hybrid SSD and HDD option or up to 256GB of solid-state storage.

Connectivity options bring about Bluetooth, 4.0, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, microHDMI and a card reader. Both machines run Windows 8.1 out of the box.

Expect the Lenovo Yoga 2 to start selling for Rs. 59,990 / $998 / €735, while the Lenovo Flex 2 will cost customers Rs. 41,900 / $697 / €513. We’re not told when the first units will start shipping.
