Lenovo did not let a certain all-in-one become the entirety of its new offer for this month, having issued a press released in which it presents two new ThinikPad Edge mobile business computers.

Coming to, in a way, emphasize the reputation that AMD's Fusion processor technology has gained over the past half a year are two Lenovo laptops.

Not long ago, the company presented the ThinkCentre M71z all-in-one PC, based on Intel's processors, so the new laptops could be seen as a means to keep its line looking like an all rounder. A new mobile monitor was revealed as well.

“These latest ThinkPad Edge laptops combined with the ThinkVision mobile monitor equips small businesses with an extremely powerful technology toolkit,” said Luis Hernandez, vice president, ThinkPad Edge Business Unit, Lenovo.

“From creating content on the road to conveniently displaying presentations, video, or other content, this solution fits the demanding requirements of growing small businesses.”

The two newcomers bear the names of ThinkPad Edge E425 and E525 and come loaded with the Windows 7 operating system.

The AMD APUs (accelerated processing units) that Lenovo chose belong to the A-Series of mainstream chips (Llano), meaning that the DirectX 11 integrated graphics are of the mainstream level.

By the looks of the press release, there should be multiple chip options, all of which can be backed up by up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM (random access memory).

Furthermore, in addition to the obligatory hard disk drive (capacity can reach 750 GB), a DVD writer is present, as is a 4-in-1 card reader, HDMI, an optional fingerprint reader and, of course, a webcam.

Set to go on sale later this month (August 2011), the ThinkPad Edge E420 (14-inch screen) and the E525 (15.6 inches) cost as little as $549. Stay tuned for more information on the mobile display.
