Lenovo has recently announced that it will soon introduce its first Sandy Bridge all-in-one computer from the ThinkCentre family, the 20-inch M71z, which is designed for large businesses, schools and governments.

The new ThinkCentre AIO desktop system is built around Intel's second generation Core processors (Lenovo hasn't mentioned the models available), also known by the code name of Sandy Bridge, which are paired together with ample amounts of DDDR3 system memory and with a fast 160GB solid state drive.

Thanks to the latter option, Lenovo states they were able to cut the system's boot time to an impressive 15 seconds, which is way better what other desktops in this class manage to achieve.

Furthermore, users who require more space for storing their media files can also opt for swapping the SSD with a regular hard drive unit, offering up to 1TB of storage capacity.

The rest of the features list includes a DVD burner, optional WiFi, six USB ports, chassis intrusion switch and DisplayPort for viewing digital video on a second monitor.

A touchscreen is also available as an option together with a 2.0 megapixel camera and a a digital array microphone for enabling video conferences.

"We're seeing more and more business customers embrace all-in-one desktops for their space savings, portability and style benefits," said Tom Shell, general manager and vice president, Worldwide ThinkCentre Business Unit, Lenovo.

"We've built the ThinkCentre M71z to go beyond these advantages and give any business that needs it the highest levels of desktop performance," concluded the company's rep.

The ThinkCentre M71z all-in-one desktop will be available starting in October with models starting at approximately $599. The AIO will be available both on the company's Website and from its business partners.
