O2, the UK-based telecommunications operator, announced an exclusive deal with Warner Music UK to offer its subscribers exclusive Led Zeppelin mobile content. The offer is valid until November 12, 2007 inclusive and marks the release of "Mothership", Led Zeppelin's two-CD best-of set that contains twenty-four remastered songs. This is the first time when Led Zeppelin music is made available for mobile phones.

O2 subscribers that send an SMS to 2020 with the text LEDZEP will receive 22 Led Zeppelin ringtones for only ?2.50, the equivalent of $5. All of the band's super-hits are available, including Stairway To Heaven, All Of My Love, Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker or Moby Dick. Besides getting the ringtones, users also participate to a prize draw that offers six tickets to the sold-out Led Zeppelin show from November 26th plus framed artwork, full catalogue box sets, posters and badgers.

"Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band ever and with over 300 million albums sold worldwide their music clearly has a global appeal that spans generations," said David Dorn, Senior Vice President of e-commerce at Rhino Entertainment. "In a country that contains some of the group's most fervent fans, both long-standing and new, we are very pleased to be working with O2 to offer for the first time a range of exciting mobile music experiences created from Led Zeppelin's legendary catalogue of recordings."

Sally Cowdry, Marketing Director at O2 UK, said: "We have established our music credentials with events such as the O2 Wireless Festival and our partnership with The O2. O2 is truly the music fans' mobile network, so we're delighted to be able to offer our customers exclusive access to this material and a chance to get the hottest tickets of the year."

The exclusive Led Zeppelin content is also available to O2 customers via the O2 Active service, in the "What's New" section.
