For months now, singer LeAnn Rimes has been grabbing headlines for her ultra-thin figure. Currently on vacation with her husband Eddie Cibrian, LeAnn has again taken to Twitter to defend herself, saying her hips bones are not sticking out: those are abs.

After getting married in secret, LeAnn and Eddie postponed going on their honeymoon because of work; eventually, the two headed off to Mexico for their first vacation as husband and wife.

While there, paparazzi were busy at work photographing the svelte LeAnn. Back home in the US, rumors were already picking up that she’d lost far too much weight to still be called “healthy.”

Just recently, Rimes tweeted a picture of herself in a blue two-piece swimsuit, thanking some company for sending it her way.

One of her followers tweeted back, telling the singer that she was too skinny, which was painfully obvious from the way her hip bones protruded through her skin.

“Whoa, you’re scary skinny! Sorry don’t mean to offend but that’s a lot of bones showing through skin...” says the concerned fan.

LeAnn immediately responded, saying the fan got it all wrong: those were not bones but muscle.

“those are called abs not bones love,” she wrote.

“This is my body, and I can promise you I’m a healthy girl. I’m just lean. Thanks for your concern, but no need to be,” the singer and actress added shortly after.

As noted above, this is not the first time that LeAnn is forced to defend her slimmer figure by rubbishing talk of an eating disorder or excessive dieting.

Even though she’s skinnier than before, that’s not necessarily because of dieting, but rather because she works out more, she said on past occasions.

As far as food is concerned, fans really don’t need to worry: for how slender she is, LeAnn promises she eats a lot, including junk food when she’s craving it.
