If one is to lend an ear to gossip and tabloid reports, Lindsay Lohan has seen better days as regards her career. While her estranged father, Michael Lohan, is trying to have her placed under conservatorship on the basis she’s a danger to herself, her career is taking a nosedive, with offers no longer coming in and deals being broken. Enter Larry Rudolph, who also helped Britney Spears make her comeback to music.

According to TMZ, word on the street has it that Rudolph has come to the conclusion that Lohan’s case is not as desperate as some skeptics say it is. In other words, not only is there a light at the end of the tunnel, but he might even be willing to help her towards it. Having already gotten Britney Spears back on track, to making music and touring again, the one thing that the manager certainly doesn’t lack is solid recommendations.

“TMZ has learned Lindsay Lohan has a new person in her life – the man who erected, then resurrected Britney Spears’ career. Multiple sources tell TMZ Lindsay approached mega-manager Larry Rudolph several weeks ago and asked him to resurrect her career. We’re told Rudolph has been working with Lindsay and her people, but is not ‘fully committed’ to helping her,” TMZ writes.

Not all is lost yet, though. “Our sources say Rudolph does not want in unless he’s convinced Lindsay will make a serious effort to help herself. ‘He’s not 100% in yet,’ one source said. But another source adds, ‘If Rudolph feels Lindsay is ready, he’s onboard.’ But it’s ironic – Larry Rudolph took a famous conservatee and produced more hit records and a successful concert tour... and he’s now working with someone in similar desperate straits,” the same media outlet informs.

Of course, some would argue, the difference between Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears’ case is that the latter only needed some guidance, while Lohan has a little more work to do because of the many years she spent neglecting her acting. Larry Rudolph’s publicist was not available for comment at the time of writing, but rest assured you’ll find out more on Lohan’s journey back into the spotlight (if case be) right here.
