Earlier today, we had the chance to take a look at what was said to be the Verizon-bound HTC Mecha, also known as the Incredible HD, an Android-powered mobile phone, and the same device has just made another appearance into the wild.

Unfortunately, no info on the exact hardware specifications it would arrive on the market with emerged of the time being, but some rumors on it have been already confirmed.

Among these rumors, we can count the fact that this device would arrive on shelves at Verizon Wireless with support for the carrier’s new LTE (Long Term Evolution) network.

Those of you who will have a closer look at the photo attached to this article, courtesy of Gizmodo, will have the chance to see that the handset in question runs on a 4G LTE network.

There’s little room for supposition here, that’s for sure, and the verdict is clear. The device in this new photo can not be another than the Incredible HD, the Android-based phone that would sweeten the life of Big Red’s customers.

We should also note that, unlike the previous images we’ve seen with the Incredible HD today, the new photo also shows the handset fired up.

As stated above, no details on the capabilities of this mobile phone emerged for the time being, other than the fact that LTE connectivity would be on board.

However, previous rumors on this Android beauty suggested that it would pack highly appealing hardware and functionality, making it a great competitor against devices like the upcoming LG Optimus 2X or the new Nexus S.

At the same time, some suggested that the smartphone would be the first Android device to receive the LTE blessing on Verizon’s new network, and that Motorola's forthcoming tablet PC would be only the second in line.

Of course, since nothing was announced formally on this until now, things might be a little different when made official next month during CES 2011. Keep an eye on this space for additional info on the matter.
