A new mobile phone is headed for the United States market on the airwaves of wireless carrier US Cellular, the LG Genesis, none other than the LG enV Pro, if some of the latest reports on it are to be believed.

The LG enV Pro was initially set to make an appearance on the airwaves of Verizon Wireless, but the carrier never launched it.

However, it seems that US Cellular might be picking it up, though under a different name, KG Genesis, at least this is what a recent article on Android Central reads.

The news site claims that the phone would indeed arrive at the operator in the not too far future, with the familiar dual-screen design included, though a specific release date for it is not available for the time being.

A dual-screen Android device is already available for purchase in the US, the Kyocera Echo at Sprint, but that device sports a slightly different design.

The LG Genesis comes with a portrait QWERTY keyboard included into the mix, and with a clamshell form factor, which means that you won't be using both of them at the same time.

The specifications list of the new device would include a fast 1GHz Snapdragon processor, which should go along pretty well with the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system.

Moreover, the device comes with a 3.5-inch external touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 800-pixel resolution, complemented by a 3.2-inch internal screen of similar resolution.

There is also the Five-row QWERTY keyboard, as well as 430MB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for additional storage space (an 8GB microSD card included). The handset should also come with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back (with max video resolution of 640 x 480 pixel), and with DLNA multimedia sharing.

The new mobile phone is powered by a 1500 mAh, measures 4.72 x 2.43 x 0.66 inches and weighs in at 6 ounces.
