Last week we saw a few rumors going around about a possible LG Viewty II handset, a device that was stated to be something else, compared to Renoir, and now some photos of said device, known to be LG GC900, have already surfaced to the Web.

As many of you might already know, the first-generation Viewty handset came to users with a 3-inch touchscreen display, while sporting a 240 x 400 pixel resolution. The new device, LG Viewty II, is stated to come with the same screen size and capabilities, while being able to deliver a WVGA (800 x 480 pixel) resolution.

Among the new features that the LG GC900 comes with, we can count the new S-class 3D UI from the phone maker (which also comes with LG ARENA), as well as a higher photo snapper, namely an 8-megapixel camera, also reported to include Schneider-Kreuznach camera lens and Xenon flash. At the same time, the new device seems to be seriously multimedia oriented, as it sports the Dolby Mobile and DivX logos.

Among the other specifications of the new LG Viewty II mobile phone, we can spot HSDPA high-speed data, Wi-Fi and A-GPS. For what it's worth, it seems that the capabilities of the GC900 are the same as those of the previous Viewty handset.

The preliminary spec list of the device would include GSM (850/900/1800/1900) and UMTS (2100) connectivity, as well as a candybar form factor, global roaming, accelerometer, geotagging, a second camera for video calls, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and EDR, USB 2.0, TV-Out, PC synchronization, micro SD memory card slot, email capabilities, oraganizer, support for JAVA and speakerphone.

For the time being, it is still uncertain when the phone maker will officially unveil the new Viewty II device, or when it will become available. No info on the price tag of the handset has been released either.
