On Thursday, May 26th, wireless carrier Verizon made available for purchase on its airwaves a nice range of new devices, including the LG Revolution, its third 4G LTE-based handset, which is now for sale at Amazon for $100 less than what the operator asks for it.

The leading retailer lists the LG Revolution on its website with a price tag of $149.99 attached to it (with the signing of a 2-year contract agreement), and says that the device is in stock, and that it would be shipping in 24 hours to those who might plan on making an acquisition.

The new device comes with a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display (800 x 480 pixels) and with a fast 1GHz application processor beneath it, as well as with great connectivity capabilities.

Running under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, the new handset offers support for audio and video streaming, as well as enhanced Internet browsing, and support for a great deal of services from Google and Verizon.

“Combining the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE mobile broadband network with the power of Android 2.2, the Revolution by LG also offers complete HD support for streaming, playing and recording video multimedia while on the go,” Amazon notes on their website.

“You'll be able to download movies and games in seconds, shoot HD videos and share them instantly, seamlessly multitask, and browse the web.”

On the back, the LG Revolution includes a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and support for recording videos in HD 720p resolution. It sports a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera as well, for video calling.

It also comes with a microSD memory card slot, with a 16GB card included in the package, MicroUSB port, HDMI port, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, Hotspot capabilities, DLNA, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS receiver, and more.

“The LG Revolution weighs 6.06 ounces and measures 5.03 x 2.63 x 0.52 inches. Its 1500 mAh lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 7.25 hours (435 minutes) of talk time, and up to 335 hours (14 days) of standby time,” Amazon explains.

“It runs on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, as well as EV-DO, Rev A 3G and CDMA 800/1900 frequencies where 4G LTE is not available.”
