A new mobile phone coming from LG was just spotted at Radio Shack, supposedly running under Google's Android operating system and sporting the name of LG Marquee.

These seem to be the only details that emerged on the mobile phone for the time being, in addition to the fact that it could arrive on shelves at Sprint.

No specific info on the hardware specs of this device emerged for the time being, but rumor has it that it could be Sprint's own flavor of LG Optimus Black, the handset that landed on shelves earlier this year.

However, even if the mobile phone that emerged at Radio Shack resembles a lot with the LG Optimus Black, there's still no telling on whether it is indeed that smartphone or not.

The LG Marquee has made an appearance in a video that showcased the HTC EVO 3D in white, loaded on Radio Shack's YouTube channel, but it is now private, and all that we can see for the time being is the shot that Pocketnow took from the clip and published.

Provided that this is the same device as the Optimus Black, we should expect it to arrive on shelves at Sprint with the same 4 inches bright touchscreen display that can deliver a 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The new mobile phone would also include a 1 GHz application processor inside, along with 512 MB of RAM and 2GB of internal memory, and the possibility to expand the available storage by up to 32GB via microSD memory cards.

On the back, LG packed it with a 5-megapixel photo snapper with support for HD video recording capabilities, complemented by a front-facing camera for video calling.

The handset runs under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, but should receive an upgrade to the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS soon.

As stated above, we'll put the LG Marquee in the rumors category for the time being, but we'll keep an eye out for more info on it and its availability.
