14 DAY TRIAL // South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics might soon join the ranks of handset vendors that have very high-end smartphones available for purchase around the world, the latest leak from the company shows.
An LG LU6200 handset has just made an appearance into the wild, with quite impressive specs, starting with a fast dual-core application processor and going all the way to a large touchscreen display, or the high-resolution camera on the back.
The new LG LU6200 is reportedly headed to shelves as the very first smartphone from LG to pack a 1.5GHz dual-core application processor inside, a Qualcomm chip, it seems.
Moreover, the device is expected to boast a 4.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, in line with what some of the latest very high-end smartphones unveiled at IFA 2011 have to offer.
However, this is only the tip of the iceberg, as the new mobile phone will also include a wide range of other appealing hardware specs, such as the 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED flash and support for 1080p video recording capabilities.
There will also be a 1.3MP camera on the front, with support for video calling, as well as 1GB of RAM to go along with the aforementioned fast CPU, and 4GB of internal memory, expandable via a microSD memory card slot.
The specs list of the new device is also said to include a 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi Direct and DLNA, NFC capabilities, and LTE connectivity.
Moreover, the handset will be powered by a 1,830 mAh battery, while measuring 132.9 x 67.9 x 10.5 mm and weighing in at 123 grams. It is said to run under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and to be on its way to the South Korean market on the airwaves of LG U +.
The LG LU6200 is reportedly headed for the market before the end of the ongoing year, but no specific confirmation on its release or on its pricing has emerged for the time being.
