South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has already announced plans to bring to the market in the US its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S II, but the company did not offer specific info on all variants of the device that will land on shelves in the country.

AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are the wireless carriers that will launch the Galaxy S II in the United States, and each of them will receive a specific model of the handset, with different hardware and capabilities.

The one model that was not detailed at all when the official announcement was made was the Galaxy S II version for the T-Mobile USA, but Samsung has just let slip some info on it.

Among the newly unveiled details, we can count the fact that T-Mobile's Galaxy S II will pack a Qualcomm application processor inside, one that will offer better support for the wireless carrier's 42Mbps HSPA+ network.

Apparently, this will be a 1.5GHz dual-core APQ8060 application processor, which means that it will also offer increased performance capabilities to users, in addition to the better connectivity options.

The info came out via Samsung's Twitter support account for the Galaxy S, which posted all the details on the said application processor.

At the time of this article, the aforementioned tweet from @SamsungSsupport was still online, which means that the info might indeed be accurate, and that it could not have been only a slip.

Packing a larger screen and a faster processor, T-Mobile's flavor of Galaxy S II will be far superior to the original model, which is already available for purchase in a variety of markets around the world.

Of course, the handset might not be as appealing as the upcoming Galaxy Note was unveiled to be, but it will still have a lot to offer, especially when connected to the fast network that T-Mobile operates in the US.
