Soon after LG officially announced the new G2 Android-based flagship device, wireless carriers around the world have started confirming its availability on their networks, and Three UK was one of them.

The operator announced that the new device would be available for purchase in the country on its network right from the launch, though no specific release date has been provided.

However, LG did say that the new handset would be released in various European and North American countries in about two weeks, which means that additional info on the matter will be provided soon.

According to LG, the new smartphone will bring a nice range of innovative features to the mobile space, including the rear volume and power buttons, along with Optical Image Stabilization, and more.

The new device lands on the market with a 5.2-inch full HD IPS touchscreen display, while also featuring a very thin bezel, which makes it feel compact despite its size, Three UK explains.

Furthermore, the handset features a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with the aforementioned OIS capabilities, capable of shooting great photos even in low-light conditions.

“But there’s more; a unique rear button allows for intuitive control of your phone like never before. No more fiddling to locate the volume button on the side of the phone whilst you’re on a call, it’s right there on the back! The rear button also doubles as a lock screen button,” Three notes in a blog post.

The specs list of the new smartphone also includes a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, paired with 2GB of RAM, a 3000 mAh battery, front camera for video calling, and the usual set of connectivity features and sensors.

“A couple of really nice additional features such as audio zoom, which allows you to capture only the sounds that you want, and a guest security mode, are just the icing on the cake,” the wireless carrier continues.

“With all that power in such a beautifully designed phone you won’t want to be worrying about how much data you’re using. And you won’t have to if you get it with all-you-can-eat data on Three.”
