The KG920 model features a camera chip that helps users take better pictures

LG has announced the release of its new 5 megapixel camera phone - KG920.

The LG KG920 stands out through its candybar design and swivel capabilities, that help people take pictures very easily. The chip used in the camera of KG920 enables users to take pictures at a high image quality. As a consequence, with the help of the flash and focus of the camera, pictures are easily represented in 262k colors.

Besides the 5MP digital camera, the tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) includes a swiveling TFT-LCD display, GPRS class 10, 128MB shared memory, MicroSD card slot for memory expansion, and multimedia functions which deal with different formats like MPEG4, H.263, MP3, AAC, AAC+ and WAV. In addition, the phone contains an e-mail client, WAP 2.0 browser, Java 2.0, MP3 player, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 1.2 connectivity for transfers between PC and phone. The phone measures only 108 x 50 x 18 and weighs around 130 grams.

It seems that the LG KG920 will be launched in Europe as well, and that it won't be available in the US anytime soon. The price of the camera phone is yet to come.
