Mobile phone maker LG Mobile Phones and wireless carrier U.S. Cellular announced on Thursday the release of LG Bliss on the operator's airwaves. The handset comes towards U.S. Cellular's users with a large 3-inch touchscreen display, along with a 2.0-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities, not to mention its sleek, rounded design.

The specifications list of the new LG Bliss shows that it comes as a full touch screen device, sporting a QWERTY onscreen keyboard, which can prove great when it comes to emails and texting. In addition, the device also includes Bluetooth technology, a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 16GB of additional storage space, as well as a music player, a full HTML Browser, email client, and an animated screen so that users can stay connected with their friends much easier.

LG Bliss’ UI technology is not the only feature ahead of its time. The design of this handset has taken the meaning of “sleek” in mobile phones to a new level,” stated Ehtisham Rabbani, vice president of product strategy and marketing for LG Mobile Phones. Alan D. Ferber, Chief Marketing Officer at U.S. Cellular, added that “The LG Bliss offers a variety of advanced, user friendly features that help our customers keep up with the latest technology and stay connected anytime, anywhere.”

Among the other features that the new device is set to deliver to U.S. Cellular's users, we can count Your Navigator, an application that delivers capabilities similar to those provided by “an advanced car navigation system on a wireless phone,” as well as Stereo Sound through the headset support, or the possibility to import playlist files in MP3 format on to a microSD card. U.S. Cellular’s easyedge is also there, along with Tone Room, a ringtone shop, and City ID, an enhanced Caller ID feature. The device is available for purchase both through U.S. Cellular retail locations and on the carrier's website.
