A new affordable mobile phone is now available for purchase in the United States via wireless carrier US cellular, namely the LG Attune, which appears to be nothing more than a re-branded LG Cosmos Touch.

This is US Cellular's flavor of the handset that already arrived on shelves in the United States at Verizon Wireless.

An affordable handset, the LG Attune was made available for purchase via this wireless carrier for only $49.99.

To purchase the mobile phone at this price tag, users will have to sign for a two-year contract with the wireless carrier. A $50 mail-in rebate that comes as a MasterCard debit card was also put in place for the device.

However, users will also be able to acquire the handset on a Prepaid option with the wireless carrier, for $69.99. US Cellular also notes that a $30 activation fee may apply.

As stated above, the LG Attune comes as an affordable handset, though it still includes a wide range of appealing features, including enhanced messaging capabilities that would certainly make it a good option for heavy testers.

The handset sports a 2.8-inch touch screen, along with a QWERTY keyboard, 1.3MP camera for snapping photos, and a microSD memory card slot for expanding the available storage space by up to 16GB.

“With a flick of the finger to the left or right on the home screen, you can text your favorite contacts or read your latest conversations with bubble-threaded messaging, all viewable on the 2.8" touchscreen,” the wireless carrier notes.

“The side-sliding QWERTY keyboard is compact and convenient for texting, but the Attune is more than just a messaging handset. Enjoy music wirelessly with the Attune's stereo Bluetooth capabilities and music player, and capture every moment with the 1.3 MP camera.”

Those who would like to purchase the new LG Attune from US Cellular will find the mobile phone listed on the wireless carrier's website here.
