14 DAY TRIAL // It appears that the DM50D is not the only display solution that LG has put together, as the outfit has also finished a 23-inch 3D TV, one that is already up for sale in South Korea.
There isn't really anything that could stop LG from filling out its role as wold-class supplier of display solutions, save bankruptcy or the sudden decision to switch to something else, and both of those scenarios are quite unlikely at the moment.
In fact, just a short time ago it was found that the company had put together, or was in the final stages of putting together, a 3D monitor / TV hybrid of sorts.
Turns out that the same company has also finished making a different 3D display, a 23-inch TV to be exact, bearing the name of MX235D Cinema 3D.
Like the DM40D, it utilizes passive 3D technology, while the 2D digital content is automatically turned into 3D on-the-fly thanks to 3D conversion chips.
LG made sure to give its creation two 5W speakers, as well as an USB (universal serial bus) port, so that media can be played off storage devices directly.
All the assets are packed inside a frame whose bezel measures only 16.8 mm and which can double as a PC monitor, thanks to the size.
This LG product is just the latest in the string of 3D items that have cropped up over the past months, a testament to how steadily more popular the display mode is becoming. VIZIO E, M and XVT 3DTVs are just a few examples.
Unfortunately, as is often the case with IT products released in certain regions, there is no telling when other countries will see the MX235D show up in their stores.
Meanwhile, South Korean retailers should have the newcomer up for order at 479,000 WON, the rough equivalent of $445.
