Upcoming detective game L.A. Noire has just received a brand new gameplay trailer, the third in its series, which now showcases how deep the criminal underworld of the game really goes, and what the protagonist, Detective Cole Phelps, must do to uncover it all and bring justice to Los Angeles.

L.A. Noire is getting ready to be released next month, published by Rockstar Games and developed by Team Bondi.

The new gameplay trailer, like the ones released before, is once again showcasing the game's unique Motion Scan technology, which used an array of 32 high-definition cameras to record the faces of characters and allows the title to reproduce every minute gesture in its gameplay.

While the first videos focused on the game as a whole, this one showcases one of the Vice cases taken on by detective Cole Phelps, involving illegal boxing matches, military-grade drugs and plenty of corruption.

The footage also reveals how the characters in the game act when annoyed, with shouting matches and accusations flying all over the place, some even pointed at Phelps, who didn't manage to incriminate the right suspect.

Throughout the game, players will help Cole Phelps become the LAPD's greatest detective, guiding him from his lowly traffic cop life to other departments like Vice or Homicide, solving the game's 23 main cases, as well as an array of side missions throughout the game world.

According to Rockstar, L.A. Noire will take around 25 to 30 hours to complete, depending on your skill and intuition.

Gameplay will see Phelps and the players analyze crime scenes, uncover evidence, talk to witnesses, interrogate suspects and then place charges.

Players will have to study each character in order to tell if they're telling the truth or not, and then make their accusations.

L.A. Noire will appear on May 17, in North America, and May 20, in Europe, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Until then, check out the new gameplay video below.
