Rockstar's L.A. Noire title has just received its first real trailer, showcasing that the often rumored game is finally getting ready to be released in Spring of 2011.

L.A. Noire is a novel type of game, promising to put you in the shoes of a detective working in Los Angeles during the 1940s.

The title was hyped a lot in recent years, with developers Team Bondi promising to deliver one of the most realistic interactive dramas ever seen.

We've heard quite a lot of details and tidbits of information in recent times, but fans' expectations were shattered once more when Rockstar, the game's publisher, announced that it will be delayed until 2011.

Now, in order to get the hype train going once more, the two companies released the first real, full pledged trailer for L.A. Noire.

While it may seem like it contains just pre-rendered cut scenes, Rockstar says that just in-game sequences were used.

As you can see, the voice acting and the movement of the virtual characters are extremely realistic, fact which will play an important role in the actual gameplay.

Seeing as how you will play as a detective in Los Angeles, you must interview witnesses, suspects and other people, observe their reactions, and then cast your judgment on different cases.

In order to really get their 1940s vibe, L.A Noire will use the voice talent of Mad Men's Aaron Stanton, who will play lead officer Cole Phelps, Fringe's John Noble, as well as a cast of "esteemed actors".

The virtual action will also be directed by Mad Men's Michael Uppendahl, which will lend his expertise to crafting a realistic experience set in the past.

Check out the first L.A. Noire trailer below and then share your thoughts about this upcoming title.

Will Rockstar be able to mimic the huge success of this year's Red Dead Redemption with the new game?
