Kristen Stewart Is on the Verge of “Total Meltdown,” Says Report

Kristen Stewart has been through hell since photos of her kissing Rupert Sanders surfaced in the press. She lost Robert Pattinson and saw her career take a slight step back. No wonder then that she's on the verge of “total meltdown.”

At least, that's what the latest report in the US weeklies are saying, as cited by Hollywood Life.

According to sources close to the actress who would not go on the record with their names, Kristen is completely distraught and heartbroken by the breakup from Pattinson, whom she'd been dating for roughly 3 years at the time all hell broke loose.

After apologizing to him in a public statement, Kristen went into hiding – only to emerge the other day.

She's still not over it, though, HL claims, but quite on the contrary: her friends fear the worst for her.

“She isn’t sleeping and she stays up all night crying. She’s close to a total meltdown,” an insider is quoted as saying.

“K-Stew has reportedly been staying at her best friend’s house, Scout Taylor-Compton, in between frequenting her parents’ home in L.A.’s Woodland Hills. Another source goes on to tell the mag that K-Stew 'can’t do anything' and that she’s 'so distraught',” HL further writes.

This would seem to confirm earlier reports saying that Kristen spent the past few weeks basically holed up inside her friend's house, refusing to eat, shower or get help from a counselor or something.

If one is to believe what the glossies are saying, she hasn't been eating right at all, living on cigarettes and Red Bull, and the occasional bag of chips – and finding excuses every time friends try to get her to eat proper food.

For the time being, Kristen is refusing to do any appearance to promote her latest film, “On the Road,” even though Pattinson was seemingly able to soldier on and honor his press commitments for the promotion of “Cosmopolis.”

However, there's some talk that she'll be hitting the festival circuit in a couple of weeks' time, which should be enough to confirm or deny the above report of being about to have a “meltdown” and not eating.
