It seems that everybody's a God killer. Kratos will be in need for some riding lessons as he gets ready to star in his next adventure, God of War III. The developers say that they plan to make him ride Cyclops in the heat of battle, crashing enemies under his weight.

Game Informer has a new preview of God of War III in which the Santa Monica studio that is creating the game reveals quite a few details on the upcoming title.

One of the biggest features of God of War III will be the inclusion of Titans in gameplay. The previous games in the series only featured them in cut scenes, but the PS3 has the power needed to fully integrate them into the game. In something that seems similar to Shadow of the Colossus, Kratos will be able to climb on them and even fight them.

Kratos is also set to be rendered in much more detail, as 20,000 polygons will be used to depict the main character of the game, compared to the 5,000 used on the PlayStation 2. Kratos should also bear the mark of the previous games, in the form of scars, but also in the form of abilities granted by the Golden Fleece or the Wings of Icarus. He will extend his skill set during the game and will even get a new source of supernatural powers not linked to the Greek Gods.

The enemies should also be much smarter than in the first two games. There will be more than 50 enemies on the screen at the same time, thanks to the graphical power of the PlayStation 3. Enemies are not able to jump on Kratos and he will crush them under their weight, while one of the first confirmed bosses will be Hades, the god of the underworld and the dead.

It seems that the game will feature no multiplayer, and co operative play appears to also have been ruled out. Sony says that the game will get downloadable content after launch and the fact that God of War III will close up the trilogy of Kratos does not mean that the franchise in its entirety will be finished.

Currently, the game has no release date, but considering the period it was first unveiled, it might be a safe bet to think that God of War III will arrive in late 2009 or in early 2010.
