Konami continues to bring its critically-acclaimed Pro Evolution Soccer franchise to more mobile platforms. The game publisher and developer has announced the availability of PES 2011 for Android. The mobile game is already available on iOS and Windows Phone 7 platforms.

The PES franchise is known for its focus on realism and gameplay and offers players some of the most advanced team and player AI implementations in a football simulation game.

PES 2011 for Android was previously slated for an October 2010 release, but Konami preferred to launch the Windows Phone 7 version instead, before jumping on the Android's bandwagon.

After testing the Android Market waters with its Frogger and Contra 4: Redux games, Konami decided to bring one of its major sports tiles on the Android platform, PES 2011.

The game lets players control their selected team, as well as offering passes, through-balls, inter-changes and amazing shots via a specially devised control system.

Some of the main features of the game include:

- Unrivalled realism: Experience incredible gameplay and focus on tactics, goals and winning trophies while competing against the most advanced team and player AI on the market;

- Exclusive UEFA Club competitions: PES 2011 includes many of the best European club teams in the officially licensed UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League modes;

- Outstanding accessibility for beginners and experts: The uniquely designed true flow control system provides instant access for players of all levels by utilizing the accelerometer and AI-supported touch controls;

- Stunning graphics: Detailed stadiums and pitches provide the perfect visual environment for exciting matches. Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 for Android is available for download from the Android Market for $6.90.

The game is compatible with all devices running Android OS 2.0 or higher. There's no demo or trial available for download.
