KONAMI has just announced the release of its next PES series of football simulation games for iPhone and iPod touch users. Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is one of the most realistic football games available for iOS, and follows the same gameplay line as its 2010 predecessor.

The developer takes pride in the fact that PES 2011 offers players an incredible level of movement and visual detail.

KONAMI states that Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 features the same key elements of total control and freedom specific to its console version of the game.

Also, it seems that the latest game in the series has been designed in consultation with the PES community, thus it includes a number of key advances that add further realism to the game.

The game features all-new AI routines that give the player more control over play, thus making the game more realistic. New animations such as referee cut-scenes or goal celebrations and technical moves (diving header, bicycle kick) offer an even greater level of realism than before.

Some of the key features of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 include:

New Multiplayer Mode, where you can challenge your friends anywhere and anytime in local Wi-Fi and Bluetooth matches;

Graphical enhancements, such as: new stadiums, pitches and weather effects that provide the perfect visual environment for exciting matches;

Exclusive UEFA Club Competitions: PES 2011 includes many of the best European club teams in the officially licensed UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League modes. Winning both competitions will also allow you to participate in the UEFA Super Cup Final.

Unfortunately, it seems that first gamers that tried the game aren't that happy with the new release thinking this is just a barely updated PES 2010.

Anyway, PES 2011 is now available for download from the App Store for no less than $6.99. The game is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch devices running iOS 2.2.1 or later and requires 51.5 MB storage space.
