Project Ogre, the game that is currently under development at Kojima Studios, will try and mix real world issues with traditional game mechanics, although the developers are not yet ready to actually talk about the themes that they will tackle.

During a Questions & Answers session at the opening of the Art of Video Games exhibition at the Smithsonian Hideo Kojima, who is the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series and a leading developer at Konami, stated, “The game I’m working on right now is dealing with quite a few issues that are pretty delicate and taboo. I’m not sure if they’ll end up being in the final product or not, but that’s something that I want to continue to strive for.”

The developer believes that the way real-world problems are reflected in his latest release is the best he can come up with at the moment but refused to confirm any clear details or to say whether the game will be launched on the new Wii U console from Nintendo.

Kojima added, “The way the player interacts with is very different than any other device out there. So if I were to make a game for the Wii U, it would have to be a unique game. I don't want any misconceptions that is specific to a certain hardware platform, because it’s not.

“The way we envision it, it’s more this platform that isn’t mounted to a particular hardware.”

The developer also reassured gamers that he plans on making games as long as his health will permit and that he is always looking for new ways to improve the quality of the experiences that he delivers to his fans.

At the moment Kojima Productions is overseeing the creation of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the action-oriented game created by Platinum Games, and a new stealth based Metal gear Solid is also rumored to be under development.
