It’s an odd statement to make, especially by a man who’s recently married his fourth wife. Yet this is precisely what Kody Brown, star of TLC’s hit reality show “Sister Wives,” said on The Today Show, where he was invited to promote the second season of the series.

As we also noted a while back, even with the ongoing investigation in Utah, which could result in charges of polygamy, TLC has chosen to renew the Browns show with another season.

Which more than makes sense, since it’s currently the highest rated program on the network.

With the brand new season scheduled to premiere on March 13, the Browns are already hard at work to promote it: and the first stop was on The Today Show, where they talked about how the show changed their life.

As expected, the wives in particular had to face some backlash from the public after openly coming out in a reality show with their out of the ordinary lifestyle.

But not all has been bad, they say. They have also had people reaching out to them and thanking them for showing them an alternate lifestyle, thus paving the way for open-mindedness and understanding.

“We actually had people write to us. There were families out there like us,” Robyn, Kody’s most recent bride, says.

“And they were saying we didn’t know this was somewhere else and they were grateful to us for the example we were showing and for letting them see there were others like them,” she adds.

As for whether Kody would be taking more wives in the future, he says that, contrary to appearances, he’s not really the marrying type.

“Right now we kind of feel like four [wives] is enough... It was 15 years from the time that I married Christine to the time that I married Robyn. I’m not the marrying man,” he says.

“Ask me [if I’d take another wife] in 10 years. Let us have a honeymoon. Let us have an experience where we’re getting very comfortable with each other as a family. But wait 10 years. It’s not happening soon,” he adds.

In the same interview, Mr. Brown reveals that getting married to another woman is a decision they, the Browns, take together, as a family.
