We're pretty sure quite a few of you out there have had the chance to take a close look at Kingston's HyperX memory modules and their trademark blue colour (and probably even more are using them as we speak), but it seems that the memory manufacturer is quite keen on offering its customers a few surprises, since they've just released (more or less under the radar) a black version of their HyperX RAM modules.

As TCMagazine points out, what we're talking about here is a HyperX 4GB DDR3-1600 kit that will most likely be available in a very limited edition, whose heatspreaders have been painted completely in black (apart from the occasional white writing, of course).

While the company doesn't provide any official info on this limited edition kit, the launch of this limited-edition memory kit is most likely related to one of their previous announcements, namely the one related to the Kingston HyperX black memory module fan, the manufacturer probably wanting to offer its users a complete set of black HyperX items.

Anyway, back to the kit at hand, it's important to mention that it has been codenamed KHX1600C9D3X1K2/4G and is made up of two 2GB modules that are certified to operate at 1600 MHz with CL9 latencies while powered at 1.65V.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll have to point out that, despite being a limited-edition product, the new black HyperX DDR3 modules from Kingston are not particularly expensive, the whole kit selling for around 75 Euro.

Of course, if you want to enjoy an “all-black” experience in your RAM modules' area, you'll have to cough up an extra $23.00 for the aforementioned Kingston black HyperX fan, which means that you'll have to ready under 100 Euro (if you're living in Europe, that is) in order to get the complete black HyperX set.
