Following the introduction of its new series of 'value' mainstream SSDs, Kingston Technology also introduced a new accessory for its line of high-end HyperX memory modules. This new product comes as the HyperX Fan, specifically built to support the company's latest HyperX, high-speed memory module, providing an advanced cooling solution to improve life expectancy and overall performance. In addition, these new HyperX fans will enable overclocking enthusiasts to further boost the overall performance of their system by tweaking the frequencies of the memory modules.

“At LAN parties and benchmarking events worldwide, HyperX enthusiasts told us they wanted something cool looking to keep the memory cool,” said Dara Sun, HyperX product manager, Kingston. “We listened and thus developed this fan as the perfect complement for both the standard and taller HyperX T1 series modules. The hip blue lights give it a bling factor that could be the difference between first and second place in a system-build competition.”

As many other memory vendors, Kingston has its own line of high-performance memory modules, catering to the requirements of computer enthusiasts and high-end PC users. Such is the case with Kingston's HyperX lineup, which includes a series of modules designed for overclocking high-performance desktop rigs. The latest product to join the high-end family includes the new HyperX fan, which has been featured with two 60mm fans operating at low noise levels of 25 dBA.

To be available both as a standalone product and as part of a bundle that also includes Kingston's 6GB 2000- and 1800MHz triple-channel memory kits with the T1 heatspreaders for Intel Core i7 systems. In addition, these new cooling solutions have been designed with eight small blue LEDs that create an impressive light effect when the HyperX fan is turned on.

As a standalone product, the new Kingston HyperX Fan will be available for an MSRP of US$23.
