Coming to add to the already extensive line of DataTraveler storage devices, the DataTraveler 108 from Kingston Digital is ready to start its journey towards the homes of consumer based in Europe.

Makers of storage solutions never really do seem to forget about any facet of the industry for long, even those that also deal in other things, like RAM.

In this instance, Kingston may have unleashed the Fastest Notebook Memory not long ago, but it also developed HyperX SandForce SSDs.

Now, Kingston Digital has officially released the DataTraveler 108 flash drive series, composed of three models.

Said models are not only defined by different storage capacities, but they are also color coded for prospective purchasers' convenience.

More specifically, the 4 GB model is colored blue, the 8 GB version bears the color red and the 16 GB one is grey.

Other than these two differentiating factors, the three are very much identical, measuring 37.33 x 19.97 x 10 mm (quit the compact size) and featuring a built-in key loop.

In other words, since this sort of diminutive NAND Flash-based storage solution is easy to lose track of or misplace, or drop everywhere, Kingston made sure it was easy to fasten to a key chain.

The only so-called drawback that some might complain about is the fact that the SuperSpeed USB (Universal Serial Bus) standard is not supported.

Then again, since the capacities of the three aren't too large, the 480 Mbps tranfer rate of USB 2.0 should do just fine, especially for the prices of €6.42, €10.06 and €20.27.

Consumers that want some things to compare the newcomers against, or those that want something faster and/or more capacious can check out the Super Talent USB 3.0 Express DUO, Echo MX and ZX from Lexar Media and Team Group's inventions.
