14 DAY TRIAL // Critics say one of the things that still keep former celebutante Kim Kardashian in the spotlight is her pretty face and the almost perfect features she has. Clearly, she could have been a stunning model if her body also fit industry’s standards. Even so, fans are not in short supply of Kim photos, as the star herself has just posted her latest photospread, for YRB Magazine.
Shot by Mike Ruiz, the photos all show a Kim fans never got to meet and never even suspected was hiding behind the surface. The celebutante turned occasional model, turned reality show star, (more recently) turned television producer goes full goth for the spread, with smudged black eyeliner, black lipstick and the kind of clothes that they would make even Dita Von Teese go green with envy. What’s even better, Kim manages to do all that without even seeming to try too hard, as fans note in comments on her official webpage.
“My YRB Magazine shoot just came out and I am loving the results! I love the photog, Mike Ruiz, and my stylist Darius Baptist was amazing! The always wonderful Troy Jensen did my makeup!! This shoot was done the day I left for Africa. I really love the transformation and the clothes were amazing!!! This has got to be one of the most unique shoots I’ve ever done! Not sure I’ll ever go for a permanent short cut, but it definitely works for this shoot.” Kim Kardashian writes in the post accompanying the photospread.
However, modeling and sitting for pretty pictures is not all Kim is doing these days, as we also reported the other day. Fresh from a stint in her own reality show, the star announced late last week she was planning on going into producing, with reports saying she had already finished a pilot for a new series and was shopping it around town looking for a network to buy it. The upcoming show would, according to Kim herself, focus on the fascinating and chaotic world of public relations, with only very little interference on her part.
“[This] is the next step in my career. I’ve always wanted to get into producing. After my reality TV show is done, the next step is producing. I definitely see myself in the producing chair. I’ve definitely seen the ins and outs of reality TV. I definitely love reality TV shows. It’s something I’m passionate about. It’ll show all the ins-and-outs or PR. It’s going to be really fun. It’ll show how there’s lots of drama and crisis in the PR world.” Kim was telling the media at the time word of the show that would see her as executive producer got out.
