Griffin has launched plenty of iPad cases and accessories lately, and now it's back with yet another product of this type, this time targeting the youngest iPad users, namely the LightBoard Case.

We're not exactly sure just how many of you are aware of this, but it would seem that Apple's iPad is one of the most coveted items by kids from all over the world, who'd love nothing more than to get their fingers on one for this Christmas, and for this reason, the LightBoard case really seems like a good idea for Griffin.

The LightBoard is described as a protective case and art table in one, since it surrounds one's iPad in a shatter-resistant polycarbonate shell with openings for the speakers and headphone jack, while a built-in polycarbonate screen shield protects the Multi-Touch display against scratches and impacts. Griffin's LightBoard Case is custom-built for Griffin's LightBoard Trace app (a free download at the App Store), that prompts the iPad to serve more than 35 different things to draw, along with fun animations and a game that teaches kids how to write their name. Plus, using the app and case shouldn't prove to be much of a problem, since one will simply have to slide a piece of paper into LightBoard's clipboard frame and launch the app. As far as the paper of choice is concerned, it's important to point out that one can use the pre-sized LightBoard Drawing Paper (included in the sales package) or any white 8 1/2" X 11" or A4 paper, along with the black washable felt-tip marker. If you're bold enough to let your child play with the iPad (even with the LightBoard attached), then you should know that Griffin's charging around 40 US dollars for this thing, which is not that high a price, all things considered.
