Kevin Federline, former husband and backup dancer to Britney Spears, is again trying to shift the extra weight with help from a reality show. Now shooting in Australia, the show was put on hold as Federline was rushed to the hospital after a heart scare.

This is the second time that he requires medical assistance because of the strict exercise routine combined with the scorching heat.

“Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline has today been rushed to Mt Druitt Hospital after suffering chest pains and a 'roaring pulse' during filming of Nine's weight loss series, Excess Baggage,” The Daily Telegraph reports.

Initially, Federline received medical assistance from the doctors on the staff of the show, who deemed it necessary for his condition to be further investigated, just in case.

At the time he started feeling pain, Kevin was doing a standard drill with an Australian football team.

“During a challenge, the show's medic was concerned that Kevin's pulse rate was high so as a precautionary move, called an ambulance,” a statement from Fremantle Media says.

“He was taken to Mt Druitt hospital where he is undergoing further tests,” it is further said.

No other details on his condition are available at this point, but it is believed he will return soon on set, to complete shooting for the season of the show and, implicitly, see his goal achieved: that of losing the extra weight and being healthy again.

As noted above, this is the second time this season that Federline collapses on the set and requires medical assistance.

Back in December 2011, he was rushed to the hospital after suffering from severe heat stress. He was back up and running in almost no time.

Until the latest season of Excess Baggage airs, K-Fed is mostly keeping out of the spotlight, with the aim of making his big reveal of the new figure even more appealing to the press and viewers at home.
