Kevin Federline, once known as K-Fed or Mr. Britney Spears, is trying to lose the extra weight he’s packed since the divorce from the pop star, with some help from a reality show again. He’s had a minor setback when he was rushed to the hospital.

After Spears filed for divorce, Kevin’s weight ballooned. The former dancer turned to junk food to deal with the depression following the breakup of his marriage, and it started showing almost instantly.

He joined Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp in 2010 and lost about half his body weight, but the pounds came creeping back in no time.

The former dancer and rapper is now in Australia, filming for another reality show of the kind. He’s been rushed to the hospital just recently, after collapsing on set, People magazine reports.

“Federline is Down Under filming Excess Baggage, a weight-loss program that will air on the Nine Network next year, according to Adrian Motte, a rep for the show who confirmed the incident,” the celebrity publication says.

Federline collapsed but it had nothing to do with being on a diet. It was the heat that made him faint.

“Our first shoot was in November in the Kimberley region in Outback Western Australia, widely regarded as one of the most remote and hostile parts of the country,” Motte explains.

“During the shoot, under advice from the show's medic, Kevin was taken to hospital as he was showing signs of heat stress,” adds the same rep.

Since Federline was allowed to resume shooting after the hospital visit, there was no reason for the incident to be made public.

Motte vouches Kevin was up and about in almost no time, saying that he’s shooting for the show as we speak.

The people at home won’t see the results of the new weight loss program until it airs, with Kevin making sure he stays clear of cameras until that time.
