It's quite interesting to see just how far consumer electronics manufacturers would go in order to boost their sales, and since the iPhone 4 is, after all, one of the world's best-known gadgets, is also a magnet for consumers, Kensington has really puts its designers and engineers to work and came up with a product that should really prove to be quite attractive for the Apple smartphone owners.

Called the Kensington PowerLift, the main selling point this new device has to offer is, without a doubt, its enhanced level of versatility, given the fact that it sport three different functions, namely that of a Back-Up Battery, a Dock and a Stand.

The PowerLift sports a dock with kickstand, that lets users watch videos and enjoy FaceTime chats hands-free, but also comes packed with a built-in 1200 mAh battery that delivers the charge one might need in order to enjoy the impressive level of functionality delivered by the iPhone 4 for longer periods of time.

The device from Kensington sports a built-in dock connector for iPhone and USB cable so there are no parts to lose and the handset is protected when stored, while also enabling two different positions during use, namely in-hand use for phone conversations and docking for charge, sync and FaceTime.

Speaking of charging, we'll also have to point out that the PowerLift can boost the iPhone 4's functioning life in a fairly serious manner (adds up to 20 hours of music, 5 hours of video, 3.5 hours of talk, and 1.5 hours of FaceTime), the 4.4Wh battery also coming equipped with a LED indicator, so that users will know at all times just how much “juice” it's left in it.

The Kensington PowerLift can also be easily carried around, since it measures 2.5 x 2.3 x 0.7 inches and weighs around 1.76oz/50gs, while pricing is quite pocket-friendly too, since we're only talking about roughly 50 US dollars or so.
