It's becoming quite clear that a lot of iPhone owners out there make heavy use of the smartphone's camera, which, despite offering some pretty OK results (especially if you're the lucky owner of an iPhone 4), leaves quite a lot of room for improvement, and this is exactly where the Eye Scope comes into play.

Presented by the people over at Firebox, the Eye Scope is a pocket-sized 8x zoom lens that clips onto the iPhone via a bracket and offers users a much closer view of the subject they want to capture.

Of course, users will first have to slip the Apple handset into a protective case, then attach the 8X zoom, but this process shouldn't take them too much time.

The Eye Scope offers a minimum focus distance of around 3 meters, while the field of view is set at an impressive 246 meters, which makes this thing quite an impressive solution, especially for the hardcore iPhone photographers out there.

But that's not all, since the Eye Scope also includes a tripod, designed to provide an enhanced level of stability for those people whose hands are a tad shaky, while the sales package is completed by a lens cloth and a carrying case.

Of course, if you do decide to go for the Eye Scope, you should know that it will actually add a bit of bulk to your precious iPhone, the lens measuring around 7cm(L) x 3cm(W) x 3cm(D), while the tripod measures approximately 13cm(H) x 2.3cm(W) x 2.3cm(D) when closed and 13cm(H) x 14cm(W) x 14cm(D) when open.

The Eye Scope for iPhone from Firebox sells for just around 30 pounds sterling (roughly 47 US dollars), which is not exactly a very high price to pay for a device that might actually improve the quality of your iPhone 4 photos.
