14 DAY TRIAL // Kendra Wilkinson, one of the three former girlfriends of Hugh Hefner, announced that she was pregnant with her then-fiancé, soon to become her husband. Throughout her pregnancy, the star kept her fans up to speed with everything in her life by means of her official webpage, including that she was to have a boy. Now, People magazine informs Kendra has given birth.
Hank Randall Baskett IV is Kendra and Hank Baskett’s first child. He was born just hours ago via C-section, has been weighed and measured, and declared a very healthy baby boy. Both child and mother are doing well, and are believed to be still in hospital under observation, although a statement from the couple’s spokesperson has yet to be released to the press.
“It’s a boy for Kendra Wilkinson and husband Hank Baskett. Their son, Hank Randall Baskett IV, was delivered via C-section at 12:37 a.m. on Friday in Indiana, where Baskett is a wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts. The baby boy weighed in at 9 lbs., 5 oz. and measured 22 inches long,” People magazine writes. The publication also explains why this name was chosen by the fact that it was important to carry the family tradition on Hank’s side.
Just recently, Kendra was telling her fans how pregnancy had changed her life and even let it slip that she would miss the days when she was with child. She talked of her weight gain and her cravings for meat and chocolate, saying that she found out new things about her body with each passing day. She was also very excited to have a boy because she was thrilled by the idea that Hank would have a little Hank to run about the house with.
“I have gained 40 pounds. I still have a month-and-a-half to go. I was 110 or 115 and now weigh 150. Even though I don’t usually eat much meat, I’ve been eating a lot of ribs with barbecue sauce and steak. Also, my craving for chocolate came back. I never ate it before. […] I am so happy we’re having a boy first because I am excited to see the relationship between little Hank and Hank. I want him to be himself, but also have the same characteristics as Hank,” Kendra was saying at the time.
