Perhaps even better than her flawless live rendition of “People Like Us” was the short moment she and judge Mariah Carey shared at the end of it, when Kelly totally geeked out at Mariah.
The two exchanged pleasantries and were super nice to each other, which definitely made Kelly’s night. She tweeted to Mariah afterwards, ““seriously girl, you have no idea how cool tonight was for me!”
As I already noted today, the show ended with Lazaro Arbos’ elimination, which means that this year’s top 5 on American Idol are all women. That’s a first, by the way.
