The British royals are said to be in uproar over the latest photographic scandal that has seen the posterior of the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, plastered all over the Internet after it was published by the German magazine Bild.

The Daily Star reports that an insider has witnessed some strong scenes in the royal family, especially since this isn't the first time that this has happened. This time it was a photo taken while Kate and Prince Williams were on their Royal tour in Australia's Blue Mountains.

As the royal couple descended from the helicopter, the still spinning rotor blades created a draft that lifted Kate's dress long and high enough for one photographer to snap a perfect shot of her posterior, and, after taking a look at the image in question, many are still wondering whether or not the Duchess had any underwear on at the time.

Now, the insider reports that Kate is “furious” the photo landed in the press. “Kate realizes she has a very public life. But she does believe she's entitled to a certain amount of privacy.”

“She doesn’t expect to see her naked [expletive] splashed across a German tabloid. She’s furious. She and Prince William are once again considering their legal options,” the source goes on, hinting that the royals were considering taking the publication in court over the photo.

Initially, no one from the British media would buy the photos, so the source went over the border and sold them eventually to the German Bild, that paid an undisclosed sum. Today, as numerous news outlets from across the world reported on the event, big British newspapers took to publishing the photo taken from Bild but chose to censor it.

This incident brings back some bitter memories from 2011, when the French magazine Closer published photos of Kate without the top of her bathing suit, while she was vacationing in the South of France.

The royals have taken the magazine to court, seeking civil and criminal punishment for all those involved. They even went as far as comparing this deliberate invasion of their privacy to the regrettable incident of Princess Diana, who lost her life in a car crash after being hounded by paparazzi.

“The incident is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to the Duke and Duchess for being so. Their Royal Highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them,” said the official statement at the time of the French magazine incident.

Right now, the German publication is certainly looking at a lawsuit for publishing the revealing photo, which has already made the rounds on the Internet, dealing a heavy blow to the overall image of the royal family.
