Kate Gosselin is moving forward with her attempt to get back some of the money her soon to be ex-husband secretly withdrew from their joint bank account, money that was supposed to go into paying the bills for the house and taking care of the eight children they had together. As such, she’s filed papers in a court of law, asking for a judge to force Jon to sell the luxury cars he has in order to cover some of the losses, Radar Online has learned.

The mother of eight claims the money Jon withdrew over a very short period of time amounts to about $230,000, which literally left her with just $1,000, too small a sum to be able to pay the bills and put food on the table for the children whose primary custody she retains at the moment. Jon, on the other hand, says he never took more money from the account than what was his “paycheck,” but that doesn’t seem to stop Kate in her tracks.

“In court papers filed Monday at Montgomery County Court in Pennsylvania, Kate reveals that Jon wiped out $230,000 from their joint bank account, a charge first revealed by Radar Online this past weekend. Jon left Kate with only $1,000 in that account. And in the papers, Kate demands Jon sell his BMW and Mercedes! According to the papers, Jon withdrew the money between August 8th 2009 and September 29th 2009, Kate discovered the missing funds on Friday October 2nd, right after Jon appeared on Larry King Live saying he wanted to be friends with Kate!” Radar writes of the recent developments in the Gosselin drama.

Saying in court papers that Jon’s irresponsible actions have left her unable to provide for her family, Kate and her attorney are going for him with guns a-blazing. The papers also allege that everything that Mr. Gosselin did in recent months as regarded the family’s finances had been deliberate gestures, filled with malicious intent, and most likely prompted by bad counsel received from his attorney. Kate is also asking Jon to provide a detailed account of how much he pays for legal representation.

“A furious Kate is demanding the court hold Jon in contempt of their Interim Arbitration Award; order him to pay back the $230,000 within 24 hours of the court’s order; order Jon to provide complete accounting of monies spent, from any source whatsoever, for the last 60 days; order Jon to sell both his BMW and his Mercedes and escrow the funds to cover any potential in his ability to repay the $230,000; order Jon to produce all of his lawyer Mark J. Heller’s retainer agreements, documentation regarding payment of any fees or retainers, as well as copies of all invoices from Heller and order Jon to pay Kate’s legal fees of $5,000.” Radar further explains.
